The mother of the believers had two previous marriages. The first marriage was to Abu Halah Malak Bin Nabash bin Zarrah bin At Tammimi and she bore him two children, Halah and Hind.

After the death of her first husband her second marriage was to Atique bin Aith bin Abdullah Al Makhzoomi and she had a daughter by him as well named Hindah.

Her second marriage broke up due to incompatibility. She spent her young life looking and caring for her children. All her children were grown and lived their separate ways when she married the Prophet (May Allah bless him and grant him peace).
