In the name of Allah. the most beneficient and merciful.

The question arises as to the pre determined destination of man as per the decree of Allah.

Firstly, it is important that Muslims do not end up in dispute about destiny. This has been forbidden by the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) in the following Hadith The Prophet (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) became very angry one day when he came and found his companions debating about Qadar (destiny).

His face became so red that it was as if a pomegranate had been squeezed over his face and he said “Is this what you have been commanded to do? The people who came before you were destroyed when they disputed about this matter. I urge you not to dispute about this”.
(Al Tirmidhi)

Allah is the all knowing and All wise. However, Allah has created man and gave them the free will to do as they pleased. From His mercy He sent Messengers to show man the straight path. Those who obeyed them obtained eternal bliss and those who disobeyed have gone astray. Whilst Allah knows who belongs where He has created two places. One is paradise for those who obey and the other is the hell fire for those who disobey. Allah will send people according to their deeds and as per what He judges.

However, man does not only have a responsibilty to Allah and His Messenger but also is reponsible for the rights of man. In all these situation man will have to answer to Allah and then he will be shown his destination. It is also true to say that even those with evil deeds may enter paradise with the mercy of Allah and throught the intercession of the Messenger of Allah. If Allah did not do all this then how would we have come to know the best of all creations `The Prophet of Allah` May Allah bless him and grant him peace`? If Allah did not give us an opportunity to understand right from wrong and sent us to straight to one of the two destinations then how would we be able to understand his creation and his universe? Above all, Allah has created man so than they can know their lord and worship Him as He is the only one worthy of worship.

Allah states in the Qur`an `I have only created jinn and men, that they may worship Me `(51:56).

He also states;
Behold in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alteration of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding, men who celebrate the praises of Allah standing, sitting and lying down of their sides. And contemplate (the wonders of) creations in the heavens and the earth, (with this thought): `Our Rabb` It is not for nothing have you created (all) this! Glory to you! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire. (3:190-191)

Whatever Allah does He does for a reason, whether we understand or not, our duty is to listen and obey.

Allah knows best
